Mum of two since 2010
Trained breastfeeding peer supporter
Certified lactation consultant (IBCLC Credential L-308444)
Following the birth of my children and a career break while they were young, I decided to train as a volunteer breastfeeding peer supporter with The Breastfeeding Network. I was fortunate to receive much needed guidance when facing my own breastfeeding challenges. That help is so important yet, sadly, is not always available. I was glad to be able to offer something in return for the support I had received.
Despite having breastfed my own children I realised there was much to learn. As well as supporting families locally I undertook further training and began answering calls on the National Breastfeeding Helpline. I then completed the comprehensive health science and lactation specific education required to apply for and pass the IBCLC exam.
It has been a privilege to be able to support many families over the last five years at all different stages of infant feeding.

To qualify as an IBCLC I have undertaken more than 95 hours of specific lactation education and spent more than 1000 hours supporting families.
I believe everyone should have access to skilled professionals to help them achieve their feeding goals. Whether you want to exclusively breastfeed, exclusively pump, combination feed, stop breastfeeding or anything in between I can help you.
Alongside my private lactation consultant work I continue to volunteer at local hospitals and work in community settings providing free support for Haringey residents which can be booked through The Breastfeeding Network. This work requires me to have a full and current DBS check.
